The Gospel tells the story of healing the mother-in-law
Paul’s message to the Corinthians reminds us of how we should relate to others.
Text: 1 Corinthians 7:29-31 The world around the church is changing rapidly, and sometimes we don’t even notice how those changes have already affected us. The grief at the loss of old ways can be immense, but with God’s renewing call, so are the possibilities for ministry and hope.
Reflections on 1 Corinthians 6:19: “Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you.”
We often feel embarrassed when we encounter things that we know nothing about. When St. Paul found some Christians who had never heard of the Holy Spirit, their “not-knowing” was an opportunity for God to do a new thing. Baptized into Christ’s name, we’re always learning.
